The Dough Boyz are a start up vintage pizza restaurant, founded by two brothers and based in the South West of England. As their brand is a start up venture, the CEOs wanted something to set them apart from their competitors and make their mark in the industry from the outset. Right now, the cullinary industry is oversaturated, particularly with pizza restaurants. The big players such as Dominos, Pizza Hut and Pizza Express are memorable because of their branding (not just because they make great pizza!). The Dough Boyz wanted to leave a lasting impression with both their product and brand image. The brief detailed that the brothers wanted a brand which was fun, unique, retro and also inclusive of their italian heritage and representative of that fact.
Final Result
A unique, retro style branding complete with wordmark, mascot submark, brand illustrations and stickers, and a brand pattern. We also supplied the client with brand guidelines featuring primary and secondary fonts, logo padding and sizing, and a primary and secondary colour palette. We also included both digital and print usage of the logo so that the client was able to visualise the finished product on a range of appropaite mediums.
